I am offering one on one training sessions in a private studio gym located in Westboro (Richmond Road & Churchill area). My space is about 1000 sq. ft. and features more than 20 pieces of equipment for assisted movements in addition to free weights. Of the 3 primary components of physical fitness (cardio respiratory capacity, muscular capacity and flexibility), only enhanced muscular capacity (gained through resistance training) can fundamentally alter the shape and proportions of your body and prevent the wasting that accompanies aging. Resistance training, in conjunction with diet, supplementation and rest/relaxation, is the single most effective way to build lean muscle tissue, to increase bone density and to improve neurological contractile strength. It will also improve coordination through controlled movements that enhance joint integrity. Canfitpro and Health Canada recommend that adults engage in resistance training at least 3 times per week to maintain fitness and prevent early onset of chronic degenerative disease.
